Sports Desk, New Delhi. IPL 2024 Auction Final List: The BCCI released the final list for the IPL 2024 auction on December 11. For the upcoming IPL season, a total of 333 players have been shortlisted for the auction, including 214 Indian players and 119 foreign players. Only 77 players are likely to be auctioned, with 30 slots reserved for international players who might catch the attention of franchises. This time, the auction will be held in Dubai.
For the IPL 2024 Auction, a total of 333 players have been shortlisted. In IPL 2024 Auction, there are 116 capped players and 215 uncapped cricketers. The list also includes players from two associate nations. 23 players have set their base price at the highest bid of 2 crore rupees, while 13 cricketers are in the bracket of 1.5 crore rupees. Apart from them, players with base prices of 1 crore, 50 lakhs, 75 lakhs, 30 lakhs, and 20 lakhs are also included in the list.
What is Capped and Uncapped Players in IPL?
A “Capped Player” is someone who has played for their country in international matches. They’re experienced at the international level. On the other hand, “Uncapped Players” are those who play at the state level or haven’t participated in any international games yet.
India’s Harshal Patel, Umesh Yadav, and Shardul Thakur have chosen a base price of 2 crore rupees. Similarly, Australian team’s Travis Head, Pat Cummins, Steve Smith, Mitchell Starc, Josh Inglis, Josh Hazlewood, and Sean Abbott also have a base price of 2 crore rupees.
From England, Harry Brook, Chris Woakes, James Vince, Jamie Overton, Adil Rashid, David Willey, and Ben Duckett have also put their names on this list. Meanwhile, South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw, Rassie van der Dussen, and Gerald Coetzee, along with New Zealand’s Lockie Ferguson, Afghanistan’s Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rahman, have a base price of 2 crore rupees.
