Currently, there are more than fifty startups in India that are manufacturing two-wheeler, three-wheeler, and four-wheeler electric vehicles. However, not only startups but also major global car manufacturers are producing electric vehicles of this kind. One notable example is Morris Garage, also known as MG Motors. Recently, this company has launched a new electric vehicle named MG COMET EV, which is gaining popularity in the Indian market due to its boxy design, outstanding features, and competitive pricing.

Let’s delve into the details of this new car. The company has introduced three variants of this vehicle, namely PACE, PLAY, and PLUSH. The initial prices for these cars start at INR 7.98 lakhs, and the top model is priced at INR 9.98 lakhs. Currently, the company has brought this car to the market with dual-tone and three monotone color options. In the dual-tone option, you can choose between Apple Green with Starry Black and Candy White with Starry Black alternatives. Additionally, among the monotone color options, there are Silver, Candy White, and Starry Black available. However, the most notable feature of this car is its two-door design.

The company has equipped this car with a 17.3 kilowatt-hour battery pack. Along with the lithium-ion battery, an electric motor is installed at the rear wheel, generating 42 PS power and a maximum torque of 110 Newton-meters. A 3.3 kilowatt charger is provided for this battery pack, and the company claims that this charger can fully charge the battery within seven hours. Once fully charged, the car offers a driving range of 230 kilometers and a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour.

Speaking of features, the company has designed this car with four seats. Additionally, it features a 10.25 inch dual-integrated digital screen setup, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a second digital driver display, LED headlight and tail light, keyless entry, and more than 55 connected features. Other features include dual airbags, an anti-lock braking system, a reverse parking camera, and rear parking sensors. Overall, this car is expected to provide excellent support to the general public in India.
