Michigan won the big football game against Washington, scoring 34-13 at NRG Stadium in Houston on Monday night.
The match was about Michigan’s strong defense, ranked No. 1, against Washington’s good player, Michael Penix Jr., who was up for the Heisman Trophy.
Michigan’s defense was great, making it hard for Penix and getting two interceptions. Their runners, Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards, both ran a lot and scored two touchdowns each.
The coach, Jim Harbaugh, said, “More than 100 guys from Michigan played tonight. They did amazing things in the last 372 days. We are champions, national champions.”
This win finished a season where Michigan was accused of cheating by stealing signs, and Harbaugh got suspended briefly.
