The EV startup from Tamil Nadu has announced the launch date of their ‘Transparent’ electric motorcycle. The e-bike will be launched in the Indian market next April.
Raptee Energy brings transparent electric bike
Rap took the wraps off their ‘transparent’ model on stage at the Tamil Nadu Global Investors Meet this month. This is their first transparent body panel bike. This model is a prime example of how to turn imagination into reality. The company will manufacture this e-bike in Chennai. Their factory has an annual production capacity of 1 lakh units. Research and development center is located within the factory. About 470 jobs will be created.
Rap’s transparent electric bike has a powerful motor, which will help it reach a top speed of 135 km per hour. It is claimed that if the battery is fully charged, it can run for 150 km. The company said it has CCS2 stations for charging. From where you can easily charge 80% in 45 minutes.
The company also claims that this motorcycle will achieve a range of 45 km in a 15-minute charge from its charging station. Again it is able to accelerate from 0-60 km/h in 3.5 seconds. Dinesh Arjun, co-founder and CEO of the company said, “We are not just a vehicle manufacturer, but we are going to build an environment-friendly transportation system. Our indigenous technology high capacity power train will generate more torque and speed.”
